2025 Piccolo Spoleto Juried Art Exhibition

2025 PICCOLO SPOLETO JURIED ART EXHIBITION
The City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs presents the 2025 Piccolo Spoleto Juried Art Exhibition, on view May 23 – June 8. This annual juried art exhibition highlights the recent work of artists across South Carolina, Georgia, and North Carolina and features painting, sculpture, drawing, printmaking, and photography. Artworks receiving prizes are presented alongside a limited selection of pieces identified by the juror as meriting display. This year’s juror is Zinnia Willits.
City Gallery will be open every day of the festival, May 23rd through June 8th, from noon until 5pm.

ABOUT THE JUROR

Zinnia Willits is the Executive Director of the Southeastern Museums Conference and has served as the Administrator of SEMC’s Leadership Institute and Jekyll Island Management Institute since 2020. Prior to this role Zinnia served as the Director of Collections and Operations at the Gibbes Museum of Art in Charleston, South Carolina. She also serves as Adjunct Faculty at the College of Charleston and George Washington University. Zinnia completed two terms on the American Alliance of Museums National Program Committee and is a current Accreditation Reviewer and a Peer Reviewer for the Museum Assessment Program.
Zinnia earned a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology from the University of Illinois and received her Master of Arts in Public History from the University of South Carolina. She is a member of the Charleston Metro Chamber of Commerce, serves on the Boards of Charleston Area Therapeutic Riding and the South Carolina Arts Foundation and facilitates monthly convenings of the Southeastern Art Museum Directors Consortium.

City Gallery, located at Joe Riley Waterfront Park, is owned by the City of Charleston and operated by the City of Charleston Office of Cultural Affairs, presenting an annual program of exhibitions and events featuring the finest contemporary art from local, regional, national and international artists, with a focus on the Lowcountry.
